You will have guided tour to the historic-cultural places like Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Square, Potala Palace, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. You drive from Lhasa to Gyatse through Yamadrok ake and high passes at an elevation of 5,000 m make you feel astonished. The typical countryside and the Tashilunpo Monastery are worth visiting. Then driving to Tingri after crossing Gyatchula Pass at an elevation of 5,200 m is fabulous. Journey from Tingri to Ronbuk has different charm viewing Tibetan rustic life.

Everest Base Camp from Ronbuk is just 4 km far away and one can rent a horse cart to reach to Everest Base Camp. This is how you experience great view of Everest from Tibetside and come back to Nepal following the friendship Highway, known as the Araniko Highway, an important artery of commerce and popular tourist route to/from Tibet. The road was built in mid 1960.
