After your exciting journey from Kathmandu to Kadari, by Private vehicle, you will have short break to stretch your body and refreshed yourself in Nepali Boarder Post. After completion of the Immigration formalities, you drive up to Zhang Mu from where you can savor the beauty of Langtang, Gaurishankar, Melungtse and Khumbu Himal.
The Tibetan Plateau, at an elevation of 5,200 m high Lalung La Pass and the astounding view of Shisapangma are amazing. From there we go to Shigatse via Lhatse. Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet, and the Tashilunpo Monastery, the palatial building is fascinating. The intrepid French traveler Alexandra David-Neel visited Tashilunpo in 1916 and she was amazed by “the barbaric splendor that reigned in the temples, halls, and palaces of the dignitaries.” Tashilunpo today is still the seat of Panchen Lamas. Besides the palace, Tashilunpo’s impressive nine-storey thangka wall where an immense painted scroll is unrolled on special occasions.
Gyatse is the trading city in the past and still the city famous for the fortress. The Pelkhor Chode Monastery and the Kumbum, an ornate stupa erected in 1427 by a Prince of Gyatse are remarkable.Lhasa has been the core part of Tibet because of Potala Palace, Drepung, Sera Monastery, and of course the famous Jokhang Temple including the surrounding Barkhor.
