Poonhill trekking has been an incredible experience of my life, unfortunately it was cloudy and I can’t see the mountains, anyway my guide Shiva has been always great, available for all necessities. Tea houses and hotel where we stayed were very comfortable. With shiva you can enjoy a truly Nepalese experience, going around the poonhill and other trekkings of Annapurna circuit. Wonderful experience with knowledgeable and attentive guide. The best part of my trip to Nepal

What to say...by the time I finished the tour I considered Shiva a friend more than just a guide.
I did the Annapurna panorama trek with him in June. This is generally considered to be a difficult season for hiking in Nepal due to rain and leeches. However Shiva organised a tour that had sufficient flexibility to avoid walking under heavy rain, and thanks to his care, from putting salt on shoes to checking my shoes and trousers regularly, I wasnt disturbed by a single leech in the whole 5 day treck.

Shivas professionalism, care and expertise meant that I was able to relax and enjoy all the benefits of trekking this time of the year: empty trails, dramatic views of the mountains rising above the clouds, and having the lodges all to ourselves. Everywhere we stayed, Shiva had booked the best room for me with incredible mountain views directly from my bed.

Shiva is a great person to spend time with. He has a gentle demeanour and is very prenourous about his clients needs. He is very knowledgeable about different local cultures- as an anthropologist, I particularly enjoyed learnjng from him.

Without doubt, I would give my highest recommendation.

AMAZING Walking Tour through historic Kathmandu

I spent my afternoon with Shiva on the free walking tour and had a fantastic time!! I was the only one on the tour, so was able to ask him many questions and he really personalized the walk to my interests. He is kind, funny, and VERY passionate and knowledgeable about the area! I loved it. Thanks!!

Amazing trip around the Kathmandu Valley Rim

My son and I had a wonderful culturally enriching trek with Shiva as we toured the Kathmandu valley for 3 days. Shiva is an A+ guide whose English language skills and local knowledge are very impressive. He is fun to be with and anticipated our questions before we asked them. Highly recommend him

“Great Walking Tour with Amazing Shiva”

It was a really great experience walking with Kathmandu Free Walking Tour along the city streets of Kathmandu. Shiva is super amazing, extremely professional, friendly and very knowledgeable.
My friends and I didn’t sleep the night before the trip...we reached Kathmandu, drop our bags in the hotel and went to the meeting place in the Garden of Dreams then joined the walking tour. Shiva was so patient, flexible with us and with our walking pace. We never felt rushed and when we are far behind he waited for us. We really enjoyed our time and Shiva gave a great introduction and information about Nepal and Kathmandu. We learned a lot about the culture, architecture, religion, the city of Kathmandu and Nepal.
Shiva you are and will always be blessing to many and to your country. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!
