“Explored The Local Life With Himkala Adventure”

Himkala Adventure organizes Free Walking Tours around Kathmandu every day. It is a fantastic concept since it allows travellers to get an idea of the real Nepali people in their habitat. I found it really fascinating because not only is it free but it also takes you through the busy local markets, allowing interaction with the locals. If you are visiting Nepal for the first or even the 10th time, you will find that this trip is really informative and enjoyable for all, children and adults alike. There is an option for you to either walk all the way or take the bus. Shiva is very flexible with his timings. Would definitely recommend as a must-do activity if you wish to experience the real Nepali culture and everyday life.

“A Must-Try When You Visit Kathmandu”

A walking tour with Shiva was a great experience for me. He took us around the city of Kathmandu covering Thamel area, the Durbar Square (we didnt want to enter it) and Swayambhunath Temple. The tour was informative. Shiva is knowledgeable and has good English. After the tour, I decided to engage him as my tour guide for the rest of my trip (4 more days), which was also nice. Overall, Id recommend anyone visiting Kathmandu to do this tour with Shiva. Two thumbs up.

“Best Guide and Best Tour in Kathmandu”

Shiva is an excellent guide. He was waiting for us in front of Gaden of Dreams at the same time indicated in the booking. He is a good English speaker. I was very happy to know that he is the one that initiated the free tour concept in Kathmandu.
Its the best tour in Kathmandu and highly recommended. You will get a full explanation on every part that you pass through. In addition, if you get tired, Shiva will find for you the best place to take rest and drink whatever you want.

“Get to know to the real Kathmandu”

Shiva was an amazing guide, we werent in town on the normal days he runs the tour so he offered to meet just the two of us for his walking tour on a Sunday. The walking tour itself was incredible, Shiva is incredibly knowledgable on the streets of Kathmandu and all the history of both the city itself and the different cultures that make it up. We went places we would have never thought we were actually allowed, got information on the ins and outs of the city and saw great little tucked away gems that we would have just walked past had we been on our own. Such a great way to be introduced to a city and get some context for your stay, highly recommended. If you are in a smaller group Shiva is also happy to tailor the tour to your interests. Complete legend and cannot recommend enough.
